I needed a little crafting time for me this week and I decided to step away from making things to sell on etsy and at craft shows. I wanted to make something fun and just for me. Last Sunday was "Star Wars Day" (May the 4th be with you) and that inspired me to make some clay figurines based on the Kenner Star Wars action figures from the 1970s. Since last weekend, I ended up making my own clay version of the original twelve figures that were released when I was kid. Here are some pics of how far along I am at this point. I just finished sanding and priming them and will begin painting them today.
I probably should have used more detail on R2-D2 and C-3P0, but I think Obiwan will be good once painted.
I was very happy with the Tusken Raider and the Jawa.
Darth Vader, the Death Star Commander, and the Stormtrooper were a challenge for me. Hopefully paint will help them out :) I'll post more pics as they continue getting finished.
